Some crafty filmmaker needs to produce a documentary of how not to run a worldwide entertainment company. Disney would be the star of the show.
That’s the only production where Disney would be a star this summer. This bunch of woke nerds can’t put together a movie for the masses to save their a****.
And Disney needs all the support from paying customers it can get after setting a new company record for back-to-back-to-back losers at the cinema. Sorry for those who own stock handed down from their great grandparents, but it’s delightful to see this woke corp take a beating at the box office.
The Walt Disney Co. is estimated to have lost a stunning $890 million on its last eight studio releases, including The Little Mermaid and Elemental, according to a box office analyst.
Just think a minute about the subject matter and “progressive” characters in this gaggle of eight losers: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Thor: Love and Thunder, Ant-man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3; Strange World; Lightyear, and The Little Mermaid and Elemental (still in theaters).
No one can figure out what Disney leadership was thinking by approving and promoting these titles to a strongly conservative audience that built the Magic Kingdom’s legacy.
Disney’s financial woes come as the company increasingly embraces transgenderism, critical race theory, and other forms of woke politics in its entertainment aimed at children.
Funny how all the leftist companies are coordinating efforts to change the minds and lives of children?
Disney losses could be higher very soon as the much-maligned Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is set for release later this week.
News and details of Disney’s flops comes from an online character, YouTube box office analyst Valliant Renegade, who could be billed as a movie character. He has kept tabs on Disney’s downfall.
“That can’t go on forever,” Valliant Renegade said in a video. “The Walt Disney Company is just making all the wrong decisions not only creatively, but in the distribution channels as well.”
Breitbart pointed out that in today’s move-streaming world these Disney flops might have as much digital shelf-life value as a VHS tape at a pawn shop. The eight losers could lead to more read ink since these titles are all destined for the Disney+ streaming service instead of other streamers, like Netflix or Amazon Prime Video, where they could generate additional revenue.
Potential streaming setbacks, according to Renegade, could double the damage and add another $1 billion in lost revenue.
For all the movie lovers who grew up enjoying family-friendly Disney productions and who shared that love with their children, the Magic Kingdom today has failed them. Families want to enjoy a movie without some left-field cultural transformation ruining the story line.
Disney execs might have better luck on box office projections if they consulted the old “Magic 8 Ball” kiddie toy. They would likely give it a shake only for the message triangle to flip over and reveal a sharp message about their future box office successes.
“Don’t count on it.”
- Magic Kingdom continues to fail at box office with woke movies.
- Disney losses through this summer could top more than $1 billion.
- Progressive storylines aren’t propping up Disney’s massive losses.
