When Vice President Kamala Harris was the “border czar,” she claimed that while we have a “broken immigration system,” the border was still “secure.”
However, many Texans and Americans saw firsthand the waves of illegal immigrants walking, traveling by buses, receiving a host of free government benefits, so we knew that was a lie.
You’d think with the lowest approval rating of any vice president, she shouldn’t be in charge of anything else. But now, the White House has other plans for her:
Once you know about it, you’ll probably wonder why she is again in charge of something that needs intelligent, careful handling.

Harris is meeting with Microsoft, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google to discuss how potential risks involving AI can be reduced.
‘AI is one of the most powerful technologies of our time, but in order to seize the opportunities it presents, we must first mitigate its risks,’ the Biden administration said.
The White House intends to launch 7 new AI research institutes (bringing the overall total to 25), and that will lead to a “public evaluation of AI systems.”
But putting Harris in charge? It seems like a horrible choice by the White House.
AI is a very real and serious threat, and the problem is now more than just bots, as many teachers have observed students cheating by using AI to write for them. Copyright infringement is another issue, even when digital artwork has watermarks.
Malicious people can also use AI to imposter others in pictures or videos. Apps like Neuralblender were clearly AI and previous TikTok filters were obviously fake. Now, TikTok has AI-powered filters that are extremely realistic-looking.
But Kamala is going to spend that cool $140 million on cutting down AI?
She couldn’t secure the border, so I seriously doubt she can do that. The least she could do is pass the letter calling for a six-month halt on AI development that Elon Musk signed, and I hear crickets on that.
Yes, even the founder of Neuralink has concerns that AI will be able to think independently, and that’s saying something – because many Americans have concerns that people will use AI for image-based sexual abuse, identity theft, harassment, and more.
Most won’t deny that AI has some good uses, but the human touch is creative and invaluable.
The “antiwork” crowd of liberals wants their work cut out for them – I just don’t think they’ll enjoy it if they get what they want and end up as totally non-productive citizens.
We can’t go from letting illegal immigrants have our jobs to letting AI have our jobs.
And putting the Vice President in charge of such an important issue, especially given her track record so far, seems like a bad idea.
