Democrats have only one trick up their sleeve. It’s called “entitlements.” They bribe Americans into supporting them with promises of handouts. Is the government going to give me free stuff? Sign me up!
But it’s a dark and dirty cycle. People who get on government handouts rarely get off them, whether it’s cash handouts, food stamps, refundable tax credits. They become dependent on the government for their basic needs.
Do they try to get good jobs? Are they motivated to be the best they can be? Will they achieve the American dream?
Absolutely not.
And that’s not to mention the burden these programs put on American taxpayers. It’s why smart leaders want to end or limit these programs. Leaders like, say, Donald Trump!
We’ve got some good news on that front. Looks like one of the largest welfare programs is shrinking in a big way.

If Trump’s push to get Americans off entitlements such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance (SNAP) program is any indication of things to come, WIC enrollment and government spending on the program could go down even further in 2018.
It’s hard to end these kinds of programs. Because liberals will say we are hurting mothers and children. It’s nice that the government helps people in need. But we can’t have millions of people dependent on the government. Liberals have created a population that’s indebted to the government. Like indentured servants or medieval serfs, they get gruel and pennies from their Democrat overlords, in exchange for allegiance.
These people aren’t encouraged to earn their own keep. They are kept at below the poverty level so liberals stay in power. It’s a crime. And it’s un-American.
The drop in WIC is a good sign. More Americans are finding better solutions. Parents are getting good jobs to support and feed their kids. That’s a far cry better than collecting meager checks from the government.
But we still have a long way to go. Will we see the end of government entitlements for good? Maybe. But it will be a fight, for sure.
