The once-proud state of Virginia has been railroaded by far-left progressives.
The governor, Ralph Northam, tried to push radical post-birth abortion at one time. Although failing, he advanced an extreme gun control agenda.
Even though he was caught up in a blackface scandal, the liberal government shielded him to push their policies.
Now, they just passed a new bill that gives undocumented aliens more privilege:
Governor Northam signed legislation allowing undocumented immigrants to be issued driver privilege cards by the Department of Motor Vehicles, starting January 1, 2021…
“We had a meeting about this bill, here in Richmond, and a group of advocates came. One of them could not get into the Patrick Henry building because they did not have an ID. This is something that a lot of us take for granted. So, we must treat everyone equally and make sure that they are welcomed,” Northam said.
Gov. Northam repeated the same common talking points common among Democrats.
He said “we must treat everyone equally” ignoring the obvious fact that his new law rewards people who are not citizens of the United States.
Virginia will now grant legal ID’s to non-Americans, opening up a litany of problems.
The bill claims that these “privilege” card does not allow the owner to vote. Yet it does not provide any way of enforcing that measure.
Democrats have frequently opposed voter ID laws, which creates the possibility of voter fraud.
In states that require voter ID, liberals have pushed bills that give driver’s licenses or other forms of ID to non-Americans.
By providing “privilege cards” to undocumented aliens, the state of Virginia is rewarding those who have ignored our laws.
It will result in more people entering the country by less-than-legal means. Despite efforts to protect our border, the governor of Virginia is essentially encouraging outsiders to come in.
Previously, Virginia residents strongly opposed Northam’s progressive agenda, especially his attempts at passing gun control.
Nearly 90% of all Virginia counties have protested Northam’s plan. It remains to be seen what they will do in light of this new bill.
