Critics of environmentalists have long accused them of hypocrisy. Celebrities and wealthy globalists call on regular citizens to cut back on energy consumption.
Meanwhile, these elitists fly on private jets, own large yachts, and heat large mansions. All of which, critics point out, use more energy than the average American.
This week, over 70,000 of the world’s globalists will converge on Dubai. As they enjoy a two-week luxury conference, they are hatching a plan to take even more away from Americans.
From Fox News:
A lead United Nations agency overseeing food and agriculture policy is expected to issue a road map in the coming weeks which will call on the West, including America, to dramatically reduce its meat consumption. The UN’s Food & Agriculture Organization (FAO) will publish its so-called global food systems’ road map during the upcoming COP28 climate summit in Dubai which will kick off on Thursday and extend nearly two weeks until mid-December. FAO’s first-of-its-kind document will recommend nations that “over-consume meat” to limit their consumption as part of a broader effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, Bloomberg reported.
Globalist organization, the United States, is set to unveil a policy to restrict the consumption of meat in America and other Western nations. The group, who are enjoying a conference in Dubai as we speak, are accusing Americans of “over-consuming” meat.
Environmentalists have long claimed animal-raising for food is “killing” the planet. Plenty of critics have questioned their claims. But that has not stopped the global elite from demanding people stop eating this basic staple.
Now, the UN is trying to push a policy that could up-end–not only entire industries–but the food security of hundreds of millions of Americans.
Critics will see the irony in rich globalists telling regular people they are “over-consuming” something, given that these one-percenters are “over-consuming” the world’s wealth.
It’s unclear how the UN expects to enforce this policy. The United States has long been critical of the UN’s influence on the world. A policy created by this global bureaucracy has little power over the country. Without legislation passed by Congress and signed into law, this UN policy will have no impact on the country.
However, it will surely be used by Democrats and far-left progressives to demonize Americans for eating meat. Already, environmentalists and vegan activists have tried to shame people for consuming animal products. Now, they will cite this policy to further push their radical demands.
But it is highly unlikely most Americans, including red and blue states, will embrace a policy that takes food off of families’ tables and shuts down billion-dollar industries, for the sake of a globalist institution.
Key Takeaways:
- A UN organization is pushing a policy demanding America to restrict meat consumption.
- This policy will be unveiled during the COP28 climate, an event attended by 70,000 rich globalists.
- Environmentalists have long demonized raising animals for food.
