Donald played hardball, and now China is handing over a massive reward.
The media scoffed when Trump decided to play hardball with China.
But unlike all of his predecessors, Trump is putting Americans first.
When he hit China with tariffs on their steel and other productions, “experts” said it would ruin our economy.
Once again, the president has proven them wrong.
From Washington Times:
China has announced a 90-day suspension of tariff hikes on $126 billion of U.S. cars, trucks and auto parts following its cease-fire in a trade battle with Washington that threatens global economic growth…
The agency said Beijing will suspend a 25 percent import charge on $66 billion of cars and trucks and a 5 percent charge on $60 billion of auto parts.
Trump agreed earlier to suspend planned U.S. tariff hikes due to take effect Jan. 1 on Chinese imports while the two sides negotiate.
It seems like nobody was willing to go toe-to-toe with China.
For over two decades, the United States (and the rest of the world) rolled over for this Communist state.
We’ve lost billions in jobs and stolen patents. China continues to pollute the earth, while the rest of the world punishes its citizens with environmental regulations.
The U.N. and the EU do nothing to confront China’s economic and human rights abuses. Everyone is terrified of dealing with them.
Except for Donald Trump.
His tough stance has worked out in ways nobody could imagine. Now it looks like we can do business with the nation in a way that will benefit everyone.
Americans won’t suffer from an uncompetitive playing field and China can continue to benefit from American businesses.
A win-win. Something nobody else was willing to try.
