New Trump Rumbling Shakes Washington – Movement Grows For Donald To Replace Nancy Pelosi As Speaker After Midterms

What’s Happening:

More and more signs point to Republicans retaking Congress in 2022. Pelosi’s majority is hanging on by a thread. Dozens of long-serving Democrats are retiring. And the GOP is working overtime to get fresh, new faces running for office. If the trends hold true, we could be looking at a new Congress—with Republicans at the helm.

Republicans in control of Congress could check Joe Biden’s socialist agenda. They can reject his demands, hold him accountable, even launch investigations into his failed administration. But they can do even more. During a rally in Georgia, Rep. Matt Gaetz talked about what Republicans might do if they retake the House. It seems Pelosi could lose her job… to Donald Trump.

From PJ Media:

Donald Trump had a rally Saturday night in Commerce, Georgia, and was joined by several GOP representatives, including Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.). When Gaetz spoke, he once again floated the idea of Donald Trump being elected speaker of the House.

“Give us the ability to fire Nancy Pelosi, take back the majority, impeach Joe Biden, and I’m going to nominate Donald Trump for Speaker of the United States House of Representatives!”

Rep. Gaetz suggested that if Republicans win back the majority in the House, he will nominate Donald Trump for Speaker of the House. Of course, the crowd of Trump supporters went wild. But is that even a possibility? Constitutional experts have pointed out that anyone can be nominated by House members for the Speakership. It’s always gone to a fellow congressman, but technically, they can nominate anyone.

A majority vote is needed for someone to be made speaker, which is why the majority party essentially gets to pick. If enough Republicans follow Gaetz’s nomination, Trump could become the next Speaker of the House. In that role, he would only be a few steps away from reaching the White House again.

Some have speculated that Trump could return to the White House before 2024, if Republicans win enough seats in Congress. If they impeached Biden and Harris—and were able to remove them from power—then the Speaker of the House becomes the president. It is a longshot for sure, but you have to assume Democrats are terrified of that prospect.

Either way, they have very slim odds of keeping the House.

Key Takeaways:

  • Matt Gaetz mentioned making Trump Speaker of the House, again.
  • If Republicans regain the House, they can nominate anyone to be Speaker.
  • Trump could become president again as Speaker, if Congress removes Biden and Harris.
