Donald Trump continues to travel the country, despite a leftist indictment against him. The former president is the 2024 frontrunner. And even though the left wants to silence him, Trump continues to be a prominent leader in the country.
Case in point. Donald Trump has made numerous appearances in recent days. He is the keynote speaker for many conservative events. And he continues to appear on news networks for interviews. But nobody was expecting him to show up for this one event.
From Baptist Press:
The “Legacy Celebration” service for pastor Charles Stanley featured a lineup of notable pastors and musical guests worthy of his world-famous ministry career…
In addition to Jeremiah and Graham, several other noteworthy names made appearances via recorded video shown during the service, including…
Donald Trump, former president of the United States.
Trump was one of few non-religious leaders to attend the funeral of internationally-renowned pastor Charles Stanley. Stanley was a noted radio and TV preacher, whose ministry spanned numerous decades.
Stanley died recently. His family and organization hosted a funeral at First Baptist Atlanta this past weekend. Among the noted people who attended were Franklin Graham, David Jeremiah, and Chuck Swindoll. Most of the guests were pastors or Bible teachers.
Except for Donald Trump. It appears the former president has something of a relationship with Stanley. He issued his own condolences after news of his death broke. And he had the honor of being one of the guests at this large ceremony.
His presence at a largely religious event suggests his ongoing influence among conservative Christians. Without their support, he would have never won the GOP primary in 2016. He continues to garner their backing, by attending religious services and events.
