The indictment of former President Donald Trump is dominating the political news world. Trump has already pled not guilty but this circus is likely to remain in the public eye for many months.
However, another legal battle involving former pornstar Stormy Daniels just ended — and it’s a definite victory for #45.
Trump is currently facing 34 counts of falsifying business records regarding his alleged “hust payments” to Daniels, and the end result of the trial won’t be known for some time.
But the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has reportedly handed Trump a big win, and it will actually involve money changing hands.
Trump attorney Harmeet K. Dhillon posted the following on Twitter:
Congratulations to President Trump on this final attorney fee victory in his favor this morning. Collectively, our firm obtained over $600,000 in attorney fee awards in his favor in the meritless litigation initiated by Stormy Daniels. https://t.co/ld7SVvZOp6 pic.twitter.com/1b5P3flxFb

The court has ordered Daniels to pay an extra $121,972.56 in legal fees, which were incurred during her failed defamation lawsuit against Trump in 2018.
The court cited the Texas Citizens Participation Act (TCPA) and it means that all told, Daniels will have to cough up around $600,000 in legal fees, while Trump only owes her about $54,000.
Donald Trump Jr. responded to the legal victory:
BREAKING!!! the 9th Circuit just awarded Trump $121,962.56 in attorney fees from Stormy Daniels. Order just released. This in addition to the roughly $500k she already owes him.
LOL glad she’s out there saying her T-shirt sales are booming she’ll be able to afford to pay Trump!

The defamation case in question didn’t work out for Daniels, and Trump was quoted as saying it was nothing more than a “con job.”
It’s also notable that Daniels’ attorney at the time was disgraced lawyer Michael Avenatti, who eventually went to prison for extortion. This didn’t help the reputation of Daniels’ case.
The lawsuit was dismissed last year and after getting almost $300,000 from Daniels in March 2022, Trump again maintained his innocence. He said he never had an affair with the former pornstar:
The lawsuit was a purely political stunt that never should have been started, or allowed to happen, and I am pleased that my lawyers were able to bring it to a successful conclusion after the court fully rejected her appeal.
Now all I have to do is wait for all of the money she owes me.
It’s unlikely that most mainstream sources will highlight this news, as they want to remain focused on the big trial and those 34 counts of false business records.
But it’s important to note the past failed legal attack by Daniels, and the people associated with her attempt (Avenatti being at the top of the list).
Key Takeaways:
- Former President Donald Trump won a legal victory this week.
- The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that former pornstar Stormy Daniels owes Trump another $122k in legal fees.
- This brings the total to $600,000 she owes from her failed defamation lawsuit.
