After Trump Sues Hillary and the DNC – He Goes After Clinton Judge Assigned to the Case, Motions To Disqualify Him

What’s Happening:

Trump made waves recently when he announced he was suing Hillary Clinton and the DNC. The grounds? News had come out that revealed Clinton’s 2016 campaign, along with the DNC, had lied about paying a law firm for the so-called dossier against Trump.

The 45th president is suing them for a hefty sum. The case could cast more light on what the Democrats did during the election.

But the swamp has reared its ugly head. The case was assigned to U.S. District Judge Donald Middlebrooks. This man just happens to have been appointed by one Bill Clinton. Hmm… can you say “conflict of interest”? Trump smells a right and is fighting to get this judge off the case.

From The Epoch Times:

The federal judge assigned to the case brought by former President Donald Trump against Hillary Clinton and others involved with creating the Trump-Russia dossier should be disqualified, Trump said through his lawyers on April 4.

U.S. District Judge Donald Middlebrooks should not oversee the case because he was appointed in 1997 by then-President Bill Clinton, Trump said in a motion to disqualify the judge.

Trump’s legal team is demanding that another judge be assigned to this case because the current one was a Clinton appointee. His team claimed that Judge Middlebrooks’ “impartiality will be questioned.” That’s a safe enough assumption, given he is associated with the Clintons. How can Trump expect an impartial, fair judge, when this man has his job thanks to the defendant’s husband?

This is common in big lawsuits. The parties can request new judges, for a good reason. But we can’t be sure if the request will be honored. The Democrats have been fighting tooth and nail to protect what went on during the 2016 Election. Plenty of information has come out suggesting they were up to no good, including Clinton, the DNC, and members of Obama’s White House.

Federal law requires a judge to recuse themselves under these circumstances. But, given the stakes, will Middlebrooks do that? We can’t say for sure. And there might be pressure from the Democrats to keep him or find another judge just as biased.

We’ll see what happens.

Key Takeaways:

  • Trump is suing Hillary Clinton and the DNC over the dossier.
  • The judge assigned to the case is a Bill Clinton appointee.
  • Trump’s legal team is requesting the judge or recuse himself.
