In America’s largest state, Trump just made a big Obama rollback to help Americans.
Just when you thought Trump had destroyed Obama’s legacy for good, he finds something new to revoke!
Much of Trump’s early time in office has been simply undoing the damage of the Obama administration. It’s been like a major cleanup project.
But instead of cleaning up literal garbage, he’s been cleaning up the garbage of Obama’s policies.
One of the biggest area’s he’s tackled is the environment. Obama banned large parts of the U.S. from companies who wanted to use it to help Americans.
Now, Trump’s EPA is revoking one of Obama’s biggest blunders: Alaska.
From Washington Examiner:
The Environmental Protection Agency has removed a major Obama-era roadblock from a mining project in Alaska.
EPA Region 10 Administrator Chris Hladick announced Tuesday that the agency would revoke an order vetoing the Pebble Mine project’s waste disposal plan, before it was even submitted.
Wow. Under Trump, the EPA is removing an Obama-era order that prevented a company from mining in Alaska. This will have tremendous results.
In 2014, Obama and the EPA blocked the Pebble Mine from mining in a region of Alaska. Democrats and environmentalists claimed that the company would poison rivers.
But they didn’t even let the company submit a waste disposal plan, something that would have ensured that they wouldn’t poison anything.
Obama just vetoed this private company, before they could even prove they would be responsible. Sounds pretty fishy to me.
Since then, Trump’s EPA and the Army Corp have been studying and analyzing the situation. They are revoking Obama’s preemptive and outdated order.
With Obama’s old order removed, the Pebble Mine can actually submit a plan of responsible waste disposal.
How can you claim to care about the environment when you refuse to let companies even have an opportunity to protect it?
Obama and Democrats always accused private companies of being “irresponsible” in their quest to make a profit. They blamed businesses of “destroying the environment.”
But we clearly see, from this situation, that Obama wasn’t even giving companies a chance to do the right thing. He banned them from even submitting a plan. Was it really about protecting the environment?
Instead, Obama punished private businesses in order to “save the planet.”
How many people could have been employed, since 2014, had Pebble Mine been able to do their job? How many more resources could have been harvested, which would have helped spur our economy and empower industry?
For over five years, this company was prevented from doing its job. Americans weren’t able to work, thanks to Obama.
Thankfully, those dark days are over. At least for now, with Trump in the White House.
