Trump Just Rewrote Electoral College Strategy – Here’s What Donald’s New Win Really Means

Something many people in this country forget, or simply don’t know, is that the presidential election isn’t won just at the ballot box. Sure, the winning candidate will likely have the highest tally in the popular vote, but it isn’t a lock for the victory.

Patriots know that the United States is a democratic republic, not a simple democracy, as many believe. Popular vote alone can’t seat the next president.

Pollsters and even leftist pundits know this to be true. How a president is ultimately selected as the next resident of the White House falls to a system that, right now, has Democrats shaking in their boots.

The Electoral College, which former President Donald Trump has criticized over the years, is drawing attention on both sides of the aisle. Now, he is watching the electoral forecasts as much as his opponent.

From the Washington Examiner:
In four major electoral vote counts, Trump is leading by as many as 66, just two shy of President Joe Biden’s margin of victory in 2020, 306-232. It takes 270 electoral votes to win.

National public opinion polls have long shown a race stuck at even with few exceptions. Those, however, are becoming less important to watch than the surveys in key battleground states where the electoral vote matters.

There, Trump has a lead, giving the Trump team greater confidence in victory in the fall and prompting Biden’s campaign to spend millions on advertising to catch up.

The widest electoral margin for Trump is from an Economist analysis where he leads 302-236 and is given a 70% chance of winning. A Decision Desk forecast has Trump leading 282-256 with a 58% chance of winning; JHK Forecasts have his lead at 287-251 with a 62% chance of taking the White House; and FiveThirtyEight shows Trump ahead with 270n electoral votes to Biden’s 268.

With these and other electoral forecasts all showing Trump leading, it is no wonder that Biden and his leftist allies have been spending millions of dollars in attack ads to stop him.

Pollsters have made note of the millions of dollars Democrats are spending in critical states as they expose their fear of Trump’s continued momentum. All this as Biden’s “henchman,” a term used by Republican pollster John McLaughlin, kept Trump off the campaign trail and trapped in court.

“In spite of it all, the polls have President Trump winning the battleground states, and if anything, the battleground has expanded to Virginia, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, and Maine — maybe even New York,” McLaughlin said.

The pollster suspects the reason Biden decided to debate Trump was to shake up the race and try to regain ground he lost in battleground states. McLaughlin believes that if Trump wins the debate, the judge in Trump’s New York case where he was convicted will “get his orders” to send the former president to jail.

Key Takeaways:

  • Trump flipped the script from 2020 electoral vote as he leads in multiple forecasts.
  • Biden’s allies have been spending millions of dollars to regain ground lost to Trump.
  • Electoral College votes decide the presidential election and Trump is paying attention.
