President Trump made history when he met with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. After decades of hostility and threats, there is a chance we might make peace with our once enemy.
To cap off a series of meetings, President Trump and Kim wowed the media by publicly signing a joint agreement. The agreement states that North Korea will agree to completely denuclearize, in exchange for support from the United States.
Naturally, the dishonest left attacked. After praising North Korea just a few months ago, they are now calling them the enemy. Liberals cannot believe Trump could score such an amazing win for the world.
But there is concern over how and if North Korea ends its nuclear program. That’s why Trump made a big announcement when he returned.

Pompeo is laying out an ambitious timeline for denuclearization following President Donald Trump’s meeting with Kim Jong Un. He says he won’t disclose specific timelines but that the administration is hopeful that “major, major disarmament” steps can occur before the end of Trump’s first term. The term ends in January 2021.
Pompeo is also urging skepticism after North Korean official media said Trump had agreed to a step-by-step approach to denuclearization. Pompeo isn’t being specific but says that “one should heavily discount some things that are written in other places.”
There is evidence North Korea is already in the process of ending their nuclear program. So, this goal in and of itself is very possible. It seems like Kim Jong-un is eager to start good relations with the United States and our allies. After years of aggression, he wants to see his country thrive, like much of the world.
The only thing getting in the way is their nuclear program, which poses a threat to much of the Asian world.
We cannot understate the significance of the last few months. Trump’s State Department did the unthinkable by cooperating with North Korea. Their hard work culminated in the historic meeting between Trump and Kim Jong-un. The announcement that North Korea will end its nuclear program is something people have been hoping for, for years.
Only Trump was able to achieve it.
The left is beside itself with rage and jealousy. Their golden boy Obama couldn’t come close to such a deal. In fact, his leadership only made the world a much more dangerous place. Yet after only a year and a half, Trump has done the impossible.
It will be no surprise when North Korea complies with this announcement. Probably sooner than expected.
