November is inching closer and closer, and the candidates are already starting to take jabs at each other.
President Donald Trump hasn’t been shy about going after presumptive Democrat nominee Joe Biden, for example.
Trump has called out Biden during recent speeches, and he often goes after the Democrat leader’s mental acuity.
Clearly, POTUS believes he has the edge in this category.
During an exclusive with “Fox News Sunday,” Trump challenged Biden to take the same cognitive ability test he took.
It’s a specific exam the President say she “aced,” by the way:
Trump took the test, known as the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, in 2018 and his doctor said he ‘aced’ it. At the time, a version of the exam circulated online.
‘Let’s take a test right now. Let’s go down, Joe and I will take a test. Let him take the same test that I took.’
Host Chris Wallace quickly downplayed the importance of the claim, as he said “it’s not the hardest test.”
But Trump countered this, saying Wallace’s description is a “misrepresentation.” He further suggested Wallace himself wouldn’t be able to answer the last five questions.
The test consists of 35 questions and the President says he got them all right. As for Biden, he has no confidence that Joe could do the same:
I’ll get you the test, I’d like to give it.
I’ll guarantee you that Joe Biden could not answer those questions.
Currently, according to a recent Fox News poll, 47 percent of Americans believe Biden has the “mental soundness” required to be President.
He hasn’t responded to Trump’s challenge, though others have called on the former Vice President to take the test.
Some believe that Biden wouldn’t do well against Trump on a debate stage, primarily because they question Biden’s cognitive condition.
On the other side, Democrats say the President and Republicans are unfairly targeting Biden. And thus far, his doctors say there’s no sign of mental decline.
Either way, America will see it all firsthand when Trump and Biden go head-to-head.
- President Donald Trump has challenged Joe Biden to take a cognitive test, the same test Trump says he “aced.”
- Fox News host Chris Wallace said it wasn’t a difficult test, but Trump called that “misrepresentation.”
- About 47 percent of Americans believe Biden has the mental soundness necessary to be President.
