Toy Store Sells Sick Valentine’s Gift – It’s the Most Disgusting Thing You’ll See Today

In Joe Biden’s America, companies are struggling to keep their heads above water. High inflation has forced Americans to tighten their spending habits. That has impacted most industries, especially hospitality and luxury items.

You don’t have to look far to see companies going to great lengths to win back customers. This includes businesses coming up with unexpected marketing gimmicks to attract attention.

That seems to be the case with one iconic toy brand. For this year’s Valentine’s Day, it came up with a new line of toys. But these items aren’t meant for children, but to entice adult buyers to open up their wallets.

From Fox Business:
Build-A-Bear Workshop has provoked disgust, and maybe lust, with an “After Dark” collection of adults-only stuffed animals in stock for Valentine’s Day…

“These Valentine’s gifts are designed to delight a partner with a playfully romantic gesture, make a Galentine smile with a cheeky message, or induce a blush from your crush over a plush,” Build-A-Bear said in a news release last month announcing the collection…

The “After Dark” collection is age-restricted to customers 18 and older and is marketed toward “kidults,” according to Build-A-Bear.

Build-a-Bear Workshop has released a new line of stuffed toys aimed at adults. The products were released for Valentine’s Day, as potential gifts for couples. The toys appear to feature trendy phrases and feature animals in humorous, romantic settings and clothing.

They are hardly the first toy company to come out with products designed for adults. It is common for couples to exchange gifts on Valentine’s. Stuffed bears are a popular item for this holiday. It should come as no surprise that a company that sells stuffed bears would release a product line for the holiday.

Yet, for some reason, a few people are outraged by the lineup. One marketing strategist said, “Please excuse me whilst I be violently sick.” It seems some are not impressed with the couple-focused products, which are only available online and not being marketed to children.

While many toy companies will be selling romance-themed toys this year, Build-A-Bear’s lineup might be too cheesy for some to stomach.

Key Takeaways:

  • Build-A-Bear has released a line of Valentine’s Day-themed bears.
  • The toys are available online, and only for adults 18 years or older.
  • A few people have expressed disgust over the product line.
