Democrats out of New York just convicted Donald Trump for running for president. I mean… convicted him of 34 counts related to “falsifying” business records—despite those records being made by the very man who testified against Trump.
It’s not hard to see how Democrats concocted this trial to derail Trump’s campaign. In reality, it’s done the opposite. Trump has raised $200 million and polls show him beating Joe Biden.
There’s no telling how much this conviction (and possible future convictions) will help Trump’s campaign. Now, a Democrat who previously ran against Joe Biden is appealing to New York Gov. Hochul. And he’s saying this will be for the “good of the country.”

Kathy Hochul Friday night to pardon presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump “for the good of the country.” …“You think pardoning him is stupid? Making him a martyr over a payment to a porn star is stupid. (Election charges are totally different.)” Phillips wrote in another post. “It’s energizing his base, generating record sums of campaign cash, and will likely result in an electoral boost.”
Dean Phillips, who failed to secure the Democratic nomination over Joe Biden, has urged Gov. Kathy Hochul to pardon Donald Trump. He claimed this would be for the “good of the country.” But if you think Phillips is doing this out of the goodness of his heart, think again.
The Democrat spread the same, tired slander against Trump that all desperate Democrats have. He accused the Republican of being a “serial liar,” “instigator of insurrection,” and other related nonsense. Yet, even this biased Democrat knows that the conviction is helping Trump more than hurting him.
He lamented that the conviction is “energizing his base,” has brought in huge sums of cash, and will “likely” result in an electoral boost. So, the panicking Democrat is begging Hochul to pardon Trump, just to slow down his momentum!
Do Democrats have any idea what they are doing? They prosecuted and convicted Trump to stop him from winning. Now, they are trying to reverse that decision, to stop him from winning.
Democrats set a trap for Trump but ended up springing it on themselves. Phillips isn’t the only Democrat watching the conviction help Trump. Plenty are probably, right now, trying to figure out a way to sweep this trial under the carpet.
But Hochul will not be able to pardon Trump. Any reversal would be too publicly damaging to Democrats and Biden, further hurting them. They made this bed and they are going to have to be buried in it.
