Republicans have warned that cartel members, human traffickers, and even terror suspects are slipping over the border. Now, Texas officials are revealing that 21 criminal aliens have been convicted of this heinous crime.

During FY23, which ended on September 30, Border Patrol agents encountered 15,267 migrants with criminal histories. This is up from 12,028 in FY22. In FY2020, President Donald Trump’s last full year in office, agents encountered only 2,438 migrants with criminal convictions.
Border Patrol officers revealed that they had caught 21 convicted sex offenders trying to cross into the country illegally. Among these criminals, there were men convicted of sex crimes against children.
According to the Border Patrol, these men were apprehended and were “not able to enter the country.” However, it is unclear if DHS properly deported the convicted felons, jailed them, or simply let them go.
Millions of illegal entrants have been released into the country. Many of them have histories unknown by the federal government. And critics have raised the alarm about the many who enter the country, avoiding detection by Border Patrol.
Since Biden took office, thousands of convicted criminals have been caught along the border. The increase is more than ten times the number of criminals caught under Donald Trump. Many believe these criminals are trying to cross over now because they don’t think Biden will deport them.
Biden has been heavily criticized for his inability to secure the Southern border. Border states are overwhelmed with hundreds of thousands of migrants. Blue cities up North have been slammed with tens of thousands of migrants.
