As we’ve been seeing for weeks, Joe Biden’s overall strategy is to just undo everything President Trump did.
That includes halting deportations of convicted criminals—something DHS officials, ICE, and even sheriffs have condemned.
A federal just put a freeze on Biden’s order for two weeks. That slowed him down, but not for very long.
Well, the same Texas judge is taking further action.
From The Epoch Times:
A federal judge in Texas extended the suspension of President Joe Biden’s 100-day moratorium on deportations until Feb. 23…
…wrote Tipton in his ruling, adding that his ruling will give parties more time to “provide for a more fulsome record” to assist the court in “adjudicating Texas’s motion for a preliminary injunction.”
U.S. District Court Judge Drew Tipton extended his earlier freeze on Biden’s order for two more weeks.
He explained that granting Biden’s 100-day halt on deportations would cause “irreparable harm” to Texas. This appears to be his main reason for extending his decision until February 23.
Biden made his decision rashly, opponents argued, without considering how such a dramatic change in policy would affect border states.
His administration claims halting deportations is needed because they need to make “considerations” on immigration, foreign policy, and humanitarian needs.
Really? Why do they need to prevent DHS from deporting known criminals in order to make up their minds?
It seems like Biden does not want to admit he supports open borders, despite the fact everything he is doing shows that.
Does he really think he can fool people into believing his decision to halt deportations is based on a genuine concern with foreign policy and other issues?
These are innocent victims being mercilessly kicked out of the country. These are people who entered illegally and committed serious crimes. People who would face years in prison, if they were American citizens.
But because they are non-citizens, they allegedly face no punishment under Biden, not even deportation.
The judge’s decision shows us that there are some leaders willing to defy Biden’s agenda. At least in one state.
