Texas Commissioner Just Sued Biden – He Accuses Joe’s Relief Package Of Discriminating Against Farmers

The Biden administration has already been hit with a number of lawsuits in 2021. Many of these suits involve the ongoing border situation, as southern states have called out Biden’s lack of support.

But that isn’t the only problem Republicans have with the President’s agenda. They’ve also taken issue with Biden’s relief package, which has faced heavy criticism.

Now, one state is alleging discrimination — and they want Biden’s team to be held accountable.

This lawsuit comes courtesy of Republican Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller: he’s saying Biden’s COVID relief plan doesn’t embrace equality.

Miller and the America First Legal Foundation are alleging the “racial exclusion” of white farmers and ranchers in the state. It seems non-white workers in the industry are in line for more benefits.

While it’s destined to create backlash from the left, these Texas officials are tired of dealing with the “woke” administration.

And they’re not afraid to call out racism where they see it (via The Daily Wire):

Via The Daily Wire:

The lawsuit says the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan passed by Congress last month includes provisions for the forgiveness of loans to ‘socially disadvantaged’ farmers or ranchers of up to 120% of the value of the loan.

It claims other federal laws limit help for white farmers and ranchers, including the Agriculture Department being required to give preference to grant applications filed by ‘socially disadvantaged’ farmers or ranchers.

The complaint doesn’t hold back.

It goes on to say that these “racial exclusions are patently unconstitutional” and shouldn’t be upheld by the court.

It also says clearly that if the Biden administration and leftist politicians are interested in stopping discrimination, then they need to “stop discriminating on the basis of race.”

The lawsuit further states that in fact, it’s hardly only minority farmers and ranchers that qualify as “socially disadvantaged.”

They claim that white ethnic groups have experienced plenty of discrimination throughout the country’s history:

Indeed, throughout American history, many white ethnic groups have been subject to ‘racial or ethnic prejudice because of their identity as members of a group without regard to their individual qualities,’ including Irish, Italians, Germans, Jews and eastern Europeans.

Members of these ethnic groups unambiguously qualify as members of a ‘socially disadvantaged group,’ and as ‘socially disadvantaged farmers or ranchers,’ under the plain text … ’

The America First Legal Foundation, the group backing this suit, was launched earlier in the month. And they have only one goal: promote an America First policy.

They also aim to stop any “unconstitutional actions” by the Biden administration, and they say they’re not afraid to take all such issues to court.

According to a CBS News report, the organization is going directly after liberal politicians and policies — they won’t stand for “any unlawful actions by the left.”

While the left continually points towards the nation’s struggles with racism in the past, they often forget that plenty of white ethnic groups have been on the receiving end of that bigotry.

That’s exactly what this lawsuit seeks to prove:

“Disadvantaged” doesn’t rely on skin color, nor is it only so-called minorities who can qualify for that label.

Key Takeaways:

  • The Texas Agricultural Commissioner has filed a discrimination lawsuit against the Joe Biden administration.
  • He claims Biden’s relief package discriminates against white ranchers and farmers.
  • The lawsuit is backed by the America First Legal Foundation, which promises to fight back against “any unlawful actions by the left.”
