After Texas Gets Supreme Court Victory – Just Months Later, Texans See a 99% Dropoff

What’s Happening:

Over the summer of 2022, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, in a historic end to federally supported abortions. The decision granted the states the power to decide abortion policy. Democrats had a meltdown. Even to this day, abortion activists are working overtime to force their beloved practice onto all of America.

One of many red states to pass strict pro-life laws was Texas. It has already passed a “heartbeat” bill. But after the Supreme Court ruling, it passed a law that all but banned abortion in the Lone Star State. Democrats have not been happy since and have warned of a “reckoning” against the red state. So, what has really happened in the months following Texas’s pro-life win?

From Breitbart:

Texas has seen a drastic drop in abortions since the Supreme Court issued its Dobbs decision in June 2022, which overruled Roe v. Wade and returned the issue of abortion to the states.

Data from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission shows that only three abortions occurred in the state in August of 2022, each of which was deemed “medically necessary,” Fox News reported on Sunday.

Wow. In the month following Texas’s abortion ban, only three abortions were performed in the entire state. That represents a 99% decrease in abortions in Texas. This is a massive victory for pro-life Americans, who have fought for decades to end abortion in the United States.

The Texas law has saved an estimated 50,000 unborn babies. Texas, along with red other states, quickly passed laws that outlawed abortion, outside of medical emergencies to save the life of the mother. The penalties for these laws range from civil consequences to criminal charges.

But the battle is far from over. Blue states expanded their radical abortion policies, after the Supreme Court ruling. And Democrats have launched numerous lawsuits to undermine red states and their pro-life laws.

If America is to once again become a country that values life, pro-life advocates still have much more work to be done. Biden is determined to pass a federal law that goes well beyond the scope of Roe. Republicans are the only ones stopping him.

Key Takeaways:

  • Texas saw a 99% drop in abortions after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
  • In August 2022, the state only had three abortions–which were deemed “medically necessary.”
  • Texas is one of many red states that passed strict pro-life laws after the historic ruling.
