What’s Happening:
Joe Biden is running for re-election in 2024, and he will have to make his case to America that he deserves a second term in office. His presidency has been plagued by poor approval numbers and numerous problems many voters blame on him.
The path to victory for the Delaware Democrat lies in deep blue states and swing states. Biden will not be able to stay in the White House unless he can convince several key battleground states.
One of those states can swing wildly from election to election. It has a long history of electing Republican leaders but has enough liberals and independents to make it viable for Biden. But a new poll has just come out that will have Biden’s campaign very worried.
From Breitbart:
A poll shows former President Donald Trump leading President Joe Biden in the important state of Ohio by 12 points.Surveying 438 registered voters between October 2-4 with a +/- 4.5 percentage points margin of error, the Emerson College Polling survey found that Trump holds a commanding lead over Biden — 45 percent to 33 percent.
“Trump leads Biden by 12 points in Ohio, a larger lead than his 2020 and 2016 victories of about eight points,” Emerson College Professor Spencer Kimball noted.
According to a new Emerson College Poll, Donald Trump is leading Biden in Ohio by twelve points. Trump is winning the swing state by a larger lead than he enjoyed in either 2016 or 2020. If this trend holds until next year, Trump will win the state by a large margin.
It might come as a surprise to some readers that Trump is doing so well. The former president is facing four indictments by Democrat-led prosecutions. In addition to this, he is dealing with other lawsuits and challenges against his business and family.
The mainstream media continues to accuse Trump of various misdeeds and Democrats call his supporters “Ultra MAGA” Republicans–often saying they are “threats” to democracy.
The fact that Trump is winning by a commanding lead in a swing state could be the result of Biden’s own policies. Many critics have blamed Biden’s spending agenda for ongoing inflation. While the mainstream media has allegedly been silent on the border crisis, many Republicans and independent outlets have reported on the devastating issue.
Biden’s approval has been well below 50% for years. Ohio voters might be disgruntled enough with his leadership to vote him out. Trump’s lead has grown, suggesting some former Biden voters are now supporting him. If Trump is truly holding a bigger margin now than in 2020, his chances for success nationally may be growing.
Key Takeaways:
- Donald Trump is leading Joe Biden by twelve points in a new Ohio 2024 poll.
- This lead is larger than Trump’s leads in 2016 or 2020.
- This could be due to Biden’s dragging approval numbers and struggling economy.
