Much to the disappointment of Democrats (and some Republicans) Trump is on the forefront for 2022.
He is helping Republican candidates from state to state, all to retake Congress from the radical left.
Candidates have been seeking his support and endorsement. And the 45th president is using all his influence to boost America First contenders.
But is having Trump as a major player in the upcoming midterms really a good idea? Are Americans over Trump?
A new poll is making clear what voters want in swing states.
From Washington Examiner:
Swing district voters who identify as Republicans and independents support populist policies resembling those promulgated by former President Donald Trump but are inclined to shun sharp-tongued insurgents, according to fresh polling from a centrist group that supports pragmatic conservatives.
A poll from Republican Main Street Partnership reveals that voters in swing states across the South, Midwest, and Northeast support the conservative populist agenda.
That’s another way of saying “America First” policies, the same kind embraced by Donald Trump and the Republicans who rally around him.
The poll tried to distance their results from Trump, almost deliberately. They said voters don’t want an “uncompromising insurgent.” It’s hard to discern what that means.
Are voters saying they don’t want another “outsider” like Trump, someone from the business world? Or does it mean they don’t want someone with a bold personality like Trump?
It’s hard to say. But what we do know is that these voters are not at all interested in what Joe Biden is serving up.
Only 26% of respondents had a favorable opinion of Sleepy Joe and his socialist spending spree.
Con artists—I mean, Democrats—Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are even less popular. Old Nance got just 14% favorability. And Crying Chuck got 17%.
Clearly, voters in swing states and in much of America want candidates that will put America first.
It would be crazy for Republicans not to strike while the iron is hot. That means embracing the kind of policies championed by the Trump administration.
Now is the time for conservatives to make it very clear to voters that they are not onboard with massive spending, higher taxes, and opening the border.
Because that will win them elections.
Do you support Trump’s policies?
- A new poll reveals most swing-state voters want candidates with America First policies.
- Voters from the South, Midwest, and Northeast prefer “conservative populist policy.”
- They gave Biden, Pelosi, and Schumer dismal approval ratings.
