Why It’s Important:
When Joe Biden entered the White House, he turned everything upside down.
It seems his decisions were simply based on one rule: whatever Trump did, do the opposite.
We’ve already seen the effects of this. Our economy is in freefall, inflation is on the rise, and the border is in crisis.
It also means that ongoing battles against the Trump administration are no longer valid.
In fact, the Supreme Court shut down an ongoing case because of it.
From Washington Examiner:
The Supreme Court on Monday shut down a lawsuit challenging former President Donald Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy after President Joe Biden ended it in June…
The case sought to invalidate Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy, which was implemented in 2019 by the Department of Homeland Security. Under it, asylum-seekers were forced to wait in Mexico until immigration courts concluded their hearings. About 68,000 people were detained in Mexico under the policy, according to the DHS.
The Supreme Court refused to rule on a case concerning Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy, because the Biden administration killed it.
Trump’s decision to require asylum-seekers to stay in Mexico while their cases were being decided was a stroke of brilliance.
It not only prevented border jumpers from disappearing into the country, it also discouraged fraudulent claims and helped us evaluate the legitimate ones.
Biden got rid of the rule because it did not “adequately or sustainably enhance border management.”
Oh really, Joe? That’s one of the biggest lies I’ve heard in a long time. And I’ve been covering Democrats for years.
Everything Biden has done has made border management worse. His decisions to get rid of Trump policies have created a growing crisis.
“Remain in Mexico” was one of the key rules that kept the border under control. It discouraged illegal entry and helped ensure people in need were heard.
Biden, on the other hand, has turned our border into a free-for-all. Real cases are being neglected as freeloaders, drug runners, and human traffickers have free rein.
Perhaps the DHS needs to reconsider its new policies?
- The Supreme Court threw out a case concerning Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy.
- The court refused to rule, as Biden had already killed the policy.
- Biden’s decisions have turned the border into a growing crisis.
