What’s Happening:

The left isn’t done with their temper tantrum over the loss of Roe v. Wade. Progressive Democrats have tried all sorts of things to get their way, including “packing” the highest court with more justices.

Others are simply pouting because some states will prevent abortion. A new poll reveals just how far they’d go to bring back a practice hated by millions of Americans.

From Rasmussen Reports:

Fifty-three percent (53%) of Likely Voters would oppose legislation that would abolish the current Supreme Court… However, 53% of Democrats favor such legislation, including 33% who Strongly Favor the idea.

During a wide-ranging poll about the Supreme Court, pollsters offered the hypothetical (and largely impossible) notion of abolishing the Supreme Court.

A majority of all voters (53%) were against such an idea. But most Democrats, 53% of those asked wanted it. That includes 33% of Democrats who “strongly favor” the idea.

What would we have in its place? A “democratically elected” Supreme Court, chosen by the people.

A terrible idea if there ever was one. The reason judges and justices are trusted to give rulings free of bias is because they are not politicians.

They don’t have to fear losing their job in the next election, so they can rule based on the law.

Switching to a body of elected judges would derail the integrity of the court. Plus, it would open the door to making the courts even more politicized than they currently are.

And this idea ignores the fact that Americans do have a say in who sits on the bench. By electing senators and the president, we decide who is on the court through them.

Are Democrats ticked off that we have a conservative-leaning court right now? That was democratically decided when Americans elected a conservative president in 2016.

We recently added a new, liberal justice to place a retiring one, because we have a liberal “president” in office.

That’s how it works. The fact that so many Democrats polled don’t understand this—and are willing to erase the Constitution to get something else—tells us just how ignorant they are.
