After Supreme Court Releases Multiple Decisions – 5 Major Issues Keep America Waiting Until the End of Their Term

What’s Happening:

Over the last few weeks, the Supreme Court has issued a variety of decisions. But everyone is waiting for a few big ones, that have yet to come out.

The court decides on elections, campaign finances, and other issues. But there are still five big cases that have not been announced.

And the court has one more month until the end of the session.

From Politico:

As the most controversial Supreme Court term in recent memory winds down, the justices have yet to decide a whopping 33 cases, including blockbuster disputes over abortion, religion, and guns…

The case before the court this term, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, concerns Mississippi’s 15-week abortion ban.

America is waiting for the court to decide on five cases that touch on critical issues.

One of them touches on gun rights. The court will decide if Americans have to demonstrate a need, to acquire a concealed carry permit.

If the court rejects a New York law, it could allow many more Americans to get licenses to carry.

Two cases are before the court addressing religion. One involves Joseph Kennedy, a football coach who was fired for praying.

The second will decide if religious schools can apply for taxpayer-backed tuition aid.

The court will also give a final verdict on “Remain in Mexico.” The court previously required the policy to stay in place—although Biden has ignored them.

Another case will potentially limit the federal government’s power to push environmental regulation. If the court rules against the EPA, states will have more power to decide on regulation.

Of course, the biggest decision will be on a case coming out of Mississippi. The left has challenged a law that bans abortion after 15 weeks.

Since then, numerous states have issued stricter limits on abortion. This case might end up overturning Roe v. Wade, the 1977 decision that legalized the heinous practice.

Democrats fear what the court will decide. So much so, that someone in the court broke the law to leak a draft opinion.

Despite the unjustified outrage by liberals over that leak, the court is still set to potentially overturn Roe. Which will allow states to decide their own abortion policy.

It seems we might have to wait until the end of the month to see any of these verdicts.

Key Takeaways:

  • There is only one month left in the Supreme Court’s current session.
  • The court has yet to rule on five major cases.
  • Including in those cases are gun rights, religious freedom, and abortion.
