With Joe Biden and Democrats making a mess of the country, Americans are searching for some shred of leadership.
They might not get a taste of it until 2022, when Republicans get a chance to win back at least the House and Senate.
But what will the Republican Party look like, come two years? How will it unify to defeat Democrats in what will be an intense election cycle?
It seems like top Republican leaders are taking no chances. They are meeting soon to discuss the future. And Trump will be on hand to participate.
Rep. Jim Banks of Indiana, chairman of the Republican Study Committee, has announced that Republicans seeking to map out the party’s future will meet with former President Donald Trump for a summit next week…
According to the New York Post, the caucus will meet with Trump in New Jersey on June 10 to discuss the conservative agenda…
“At Republican Study Committee, we’ve been very busy as we develop the consensus conservative agenda for the future of the Republican Party, and that agenda is the Trump agenda,” Banks said.
As Democrats run head-first into a socialist nightmare, Republicans need to clarify their own agenda.
Will they go soft on socialists who want to bankrupt the country? Or will they reassure Americans that they are not ditching the “America First” doctrine?
It looks like, at least for the Republican Study Committee, they are not abandoning the vision Trump brought to the party in 2016.
And why should they? Under Trump, the country was seeing record economic growth. There was historic low unemployment. Rising wages. Energy dominance. Peace around the world. And a secure border.
All because Trump and his administration had a simple policy, put Americans first. Which makes many wonder if Trump should lead the party and the country once again.
Joe Biden, on the other hand, seems to be putting anyone and everyone ahead of his own country.
Republicans need to make it clear to the country that, if they retake Congress, things are going to change for the better.
Because America won’t last much longer with crackpots at the helm.
- Top Republican leaders will be meeting with Trump to discuss the future.
- The RSC will be discussing what the party’s policy will be going into 2022.
- They want the party’s agenda to be the “Trump agenda.”
