Millions of Americans have lost their jobs or are struggling—but Trump’s administration is preparing to send out direct payments to help.
They are getting the checks ready, and we have been updating Americans on how to make sure you get the direct deposit—and not possibly wait for up to 5 months for a physical check. (If you’re not sure, see more below.)
And now there is a new development. Even before the checks go out, President Trump is considering what will come next.
From The Daily Wire:
President Trump said Sunday night that he is considering a second round of direct payments to Americans to offset the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
“I like the concept of it,” Trump said at his daily White House press briefing on the coronavirus. “I like money going directly to people. It’s not their fault that this happened.”
Great! I’m glad Trump is taking a close look at what Americans need to get through this tough time.
Donald’s right—it’s not our fault this happened. It was the government that ordered businesses shut down.
It’s as if the government had to drive a truck into your house—they have to pay for the damages until everything is right again.
But he’s not jumping the gun and pushing these checks out before he knows what’s needed. That’s why this time might look different, according to him:
Trump said the White House is looking at “a different way of doing it” from what Pelosi is proposing, adding that his administration is on target to deliver the first federal payments to families in “a couple of weeks.”
It seems like Pelosi is rushing to get as much money printed and out as possible. But Trump knows we need to be careful.
We don’t want inflation to skyrocket when this is all said and done, so we don’t want to be cutting checks totally billions or trillions in taxpayer funds if this situation ends sooner than we expected.
Who would inflation hurt in the end? The lower and middle class. Average consumers.
SHARE to tell everyone a second round of relief checks may be on their way soon!
