You wouldn’t be blamed for thinking that most people in the music world are liberal. Famous singers and performers use social media to frequently spread liberal talking points or endorse Democrat candidates.

But not everyone in the music world marches to the leftist tune.

Son of legendary rock star John Lennon has been ruffling feathers lately. He has criticized the mainstream media’s bias. And now, he is taking shots at one of the left’s biggest idols.

Sean Ono Lennon, the son of iconic singer John Lennon, has become quite the contrarian lately, from his knock against the media’s bias amid the coronavirus to his recent knock against Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

In an X post on Wednesday, Sean Ono Lennon rebranded DEI with a not-so-wholesome name.

“Have you guys heard of DEI? It stands for ‘Dumb Evil Idiots,” he said.

When a user asked him to define Environmental Social Governance (ESG), Lennon answered, “Exploiting Seems Good.”

Sean Ono Lennon, son of Beatle John Lennon, recently mocked the progressive initiative “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion,” often shorted to DEI. This movement is embraced by many corporations as a guise to push liberal priorities.

Lennon called out the movement, saying DEI stood for “Dumb Evil Idiots.” Someone asked him to define ESG—the investment side of this woke agenda—which stands for “Environmental, Social, and Governance.”

The musician said it was “Exploiting Seems Good.”

Many critics have called out DEI and ESG as ways Democrats force their policies onto private companies. Often, corporations are compelled to hire “diversity” chiefs who manage their DEI programs. These executives are only responsible for making sure minorities or other groups are hired—perhaps over qualified candidates.

On the ESG side, Democrats (including President Biden) have tried to force firms to invest only in companies that use their capital to prop up failing progressive ideas like environmentalism and back big government.

It seems Lennon is not a fan of either of these schemes. And he’s not afraid to show it.
