The Hunter Biden saga continues and this time, a firearm and an allegedly false report are involved. On top of that, the FBI and Secret Service reportedly played roles in this concerning case.
It started when Hunter’s sister-in-law, Hallie Biden, threw Hunter’s gun into a trash can behind a grocery store. She later went to retrieve it but found it missing, and police were worried because it was close to a school.
That’s when the case of the missing firearm took a bad turn for Hunter.
Apparently, the FBI responded to the scene as did the ATF, and the Secret Service allegedly contacted the gun store that sold the gun to Biden. But the owner refused to turn over the info.
When the info finally did turn up, Hunter evidently responded “no” to the question asking if he were a habitual user of drugs (and his past drug use has been well-documented).
Now, two Republicans have seized on this issue — and they’re demanding that all records be turned over.
Via The Daily Caller:
Two Republican senators are asking the directors of the FBI, the U.S. Secret Service and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for details of their alleged investigation into a handgun that belonged to Hunter Biden that was reported missing in 2018.
Sens. Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson want to get to the bottom of the Secret Service’s involvement.
They believe “the Secret Service officers wanted to hide Hunter’s ownership of the missing gun in case it were to be involved in a crime,” as revealed by Politico.
Now, the Secret Service already replied to this allegation, saying last week they weren’t involved in the incident at all. As they said in an official statement:
U.S. Secret Service records confirm that the agency did not provide protection to any member of the Biden family in 2018, and that the Secret Service had no involvement in this alleged incident.
However, that claim has quickly been called into question thanks to multiple sources.
For instance, the New York Post says texts from Hunter Biden himself contradict the Secret Service’s comments, which undoubtedly makes Republicans even more suspicious.

The texts in question, dated Jan. 29, 2019, are as follows, as obtained by the Post:
She stole the gun out of my trunk lock box and threw it in a garbage can full to the top at Jansens [sic]. Then told me it was my problem to deal with.
Then when the police the FBI the secret service came on the scene she said she took it from me because she was scared I would harm myself due to my drug and alcohol problem and our volatile relationship and that she was afraid for the kids.
He clearly mentions the Secret Service, so if those texts are 100 percent accurate, it sounds like there’s more to the story.
And that’s exactly what the Republican Senators want to find out — the GOP has been trying to paint Hunter into a corner for a long time now, and this might just be the evidence they need.
As a result, it could really put President Joe Biden in a tough spot.
So far, POTUS has been tight-lipped about his son’s issues. But this may get too big to ignore for much longer.
- 2 Republican Senators are demanding the FBI and Secret Service turn over records of the Hunter Biden gun incident.
- They believe the Secret Service helped cover up the event for Hunter, even though they deny any involvement.
- Leaked texts from Biden contradict that claim, as they clearly mention the Secret Service.
