Last week, we reported on the tragic and shocking murder of a black Republican councilwoman, Eunice Dwumfour. The young woman was a beloved figure in her New Jersey town. Both Democrats and Republicans offered condolences in the aftermath of the tragedy.
Well, it seems that something is going on in the blue state. Several Democrats jumped ship recently, to join the GOP. There could be a shift in the state as voters turn to the Republican Party. And, perhaps, some folks are too excited about that. Because yet another local Republican figure was just murdered.
From Fox News:
Local New Jersey council member Russell Heller was shot dead in his car, exactly one week after the slaying of Sayreville Councilwoman Eunice Dwumfour, according to reports…
Gary Curtis, 58, was identified as the suspect in the shooting and found at 10:20 a.m. inside a car in Bridgewater, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office said…
“Both slain council members were elected Republicans. Heller was last elected in 2020, Dwumfour to her first term in 2021,” according to NJ.com.
Republican councilman Russell Heller was shot dead in his car, a week after another Republican, Councilwoman Eunice Dwumfour, was found murdered in her car. The two crimes took place just miles from each other, in New Jersey.
Russell Heller was a senior distribution supervisor for PSE&G, as well as a councilman in Milford. A spokesman for Milford said this “has never happened in borough history.” Police believe the killer was Gary Curtis, who was found inside another car, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police do not know the motive for Curtis’s crime. As of right now, police do not even have a suspect for the murder of Councilwoman Dwumfour. But the fact that these killings took place just a week apart–and so close to each other–should raise alarms for law enforcement.
When liberal leaders or their spouses (Paul Pelosi) are attacked, the media instantly cries “assassination” and it’s plastered on the news for weeks. Biden makes a big push for gun control. But when actual Republican representatives are murdered and gunned down? Barely a peep.
Folks, that is very concerning.
We know that crime has become an epidemic on both coasts. Blue states have sat back as criminals are released without bail. More violent crime is happening, as radical progressive DAs put criminals ahead of law-abiding citizens.
Now, two leaders are gone thanks to the left’s inaction. How many more will be lost, before something changes?
