Numerous Republicans and critics have come forward accusing Hunter Biden of various crimes. House Republicans have launched a probe over evidence that Joe and his son engaged in a bribery scheme. Since 2020, conservative outlets have reported on allegations and testimony that implicate Hunter and draw strong suspicion against his father.
But all of this could have come to light sooner, had the FBI acted on evidence it received years ago. We’ve learned that, in October 2020, the FBI refused to investigate evidence from Hunter’s laptop. We’ve also recently learned that the agency had a document alleging the so-called bribery ring… but did nothing with it. Now, a retired FBI supervisor is coming out with more allegations.

A retired FBI supervisor has revealed to Congress that the bureau’s Washington field office had a second “politically connected” informant providing information relevant to the Biden family investigation, but was asked to shut down the source in the fall of 2020 shortly before Joe Biden was elected president…
“It shocked me a bit because I’m, like, the purpose of – a confidential informant is to support a case,” Thibault told investigators in portions of a transcript reviewed by Just the News.
The former number two supervisor of the FBI’s D.C. field office, Timothy Thibault, has come out accusing the agency of–once again–shutting down investigations against Hunter Biden. He told Congress that the FBI had a second informant with information regarding Hunter Biden’s alleged tax crimes.
However, he received a request from the lead agent in Hunter’s case to shut down the human source. Thibault admits he was shocked since this testimony from a second source would have supported the case against Hunter.
This investigation was going on in the Fall of 2020, just before the election. As with the laptop, it appears the FBI was refusing to properly investigate Hunter Biden, perhaps out of fear it would hurt Joe’s chances.
We’ve previously learned that the DOJ–under Joe Biden–shut down the IRS’s investigation against Hunter Biden’s tax fraud. Some have speculated this was to protect Joe himself since any look into Hunter’s finances might have provided further proof that his father was involved in his business.
This revelation from Thibault is yet another black stain on the FBI’s record. In recent years, Americans have lost faith in the agency, over accusations that top officials are abusing their power for political purposes. Even former Attorney General Bill Barr claimed that a “deep state” exists, in which top intelligence and law enforcement agents are seeking political ends rather than justice.
How this information will impact the ongoing impeachment probe remains to be seen.
