There are only 60 days until the historic election between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.
The conventions and over and done—and the polls have been reacting.
But it looks like they are moving the wrong way… for Biden.
Just look at this latest national poll:
A post-Republican National Convention poll shows President Donald Trump taking a firm lead over Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.
The Democracy Institute/Sunday Express poll found Trump ahead of Biden by 3 percentage points, 48 to 45 percent.
Close on the heels of this poll, a North Carolina poll just came out with this:
President Trump now leads Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden by two points in the key battleground state of North Carolina, 49 percent to 47 percent, according to a poll released by East Carolina University on Tuesday.
And his home state of PA isn’t giving Joe sweet dreams:
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone and online survey of Likely Voters in the Keystone State finds Trump and Biden with 46% support each. Four percent (4%) prefer some other candidate, and another four percent (4%) remain undecided.
Around this time in the 2016 Election, polls had Hillary Clinton with a firm lead. Most gave her a double-digit lead over Trump.
But she lost in an electoral landslide to Donald Trump.
We’ve discussed the various flaws in modern polling. Many people wonder how much liberal-leaning outlets influence the results of a poll.
Some have even called them “suppression polls” meant to discourage conservative voters.
Yet, with so many polls giving Trump a lead (or tie) over Biden, does it suggest he has an even bigger edge?
Joe Biden and the Democrats haven’t done themselves any favors this year. They imposed drastic lockdowns, punishing Americans, and putting them out of work.
Then, just as the Summer came, Democrats applauded wild riots that destroyed many cities.
They defunded cops, contributing to a rise in crime.
And that’s before factoring in Joe Biden’s off-putting gaffes and apparently racist remarks.
Considering all that, these polls come as no surprise.
- With just 60 days before the election, Trump is leading Biden in several polls.
- A new national poll, NC poll, and PA poll have Trump beating or tied with the Democrat.
