It’s no secret that the FBI is not America’s favorite government agency, these days. Recent years have exposed the agency for shocking levels of corruption. It appears the FBI’s top brass are politically compromised, abusing their power to help Democrats win elections. They’ve even paid social networks like Twitter to censor Americans.
What are our leaders doing about this seemingly rogue agency? Shouldn’t Republicans in Congress take steps to shut down this kind of corruption? Well, one Republican is taking steps to drain this part of the swamp. And he’s beginning with its purse strings.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) announced on Tuesday that he is introducing a resolution that calls for halting funds dedicated to the FBI‘s next headquarters over concerns about politicization at the bureau…
Titled the “FBI Washington Field Office House Arrest Act,” Gaetz’s resolution outlines a number of alleged misdeeds by the satellite office, including targeting parents critical of school board decisions and colluding with private sector companies during elections to censor information.
Rep. Gaetz has proposed a resolution to cut funding for the FBI. He points to numerous examples of corruption within the agency, accusing them of “weaponizing” its power for political purposes. If this resolution goes through, the FBI could lose $375 million aimed at building a new facility.
That’s no chump change! This is a good start at making the FBI accountable. Ever since the Obama administration, federal agencies like the FBI have become heavily politicized. These agencies are ignoring their mandates to help the American people. Instead, they purpose political goals that help Democrats.
The IRS targeted Tea Party organizations. The DOJ sued companies and gave the money to progressive groups. But worst might be the FBI, which spied on Trump’s 2016, tried to frame him for Russian collusion, refused to investigate the Hunter Biden laptop, coerced social media to censor Americans, raided Trump’s home… did I miss anything?
More Republicans need to rally around Gaetz’s resolution. The FBI can be saved, but the GOP needs to clean house.
