The Republican National Convention kicked off last night, featuring some of President Trump’s biggest supporters.
The media was quick to dismiss the many rousing speeches and guest appearances.
It seems they wanted us to believe what Joe Biden said about the party—that it’s “dark” and “miserable.” (Was he talking about the GOP or himself?)
If you were to believe that, then you’d expect nobody in America watched the thing, right?
First night of GOP convention delivers nearly six times more views than start of Democrats’ event on C-SPAN livestream…
C-SPAN’s livestream of the first night of the Republican National Convention has attracted nearly 440,000 views, marking a substantial increase over the start of the Democratic National Convention, which drew 76,000 views.
The first night of the RNC enjoyed six times more viewers just on C-SPAN’s livestream than the DNC’s event.
The C-SPAN livestream of the night had 440,000 viewers, compared to the DNC’s 76,000.
Numbers for other streams and traditional television have yet to be released. But just this one number is telling.
After all, how many people even thought of going to C-SPAN’s livestream to watch the event? Most probably tuned in to traditional TV or went to YouTube.
The fact that C-SPAN alone saw nearly half a million viewers tune in to see the RNC is pretty substantial.
Unlike the DNC—which featured mostly pre-recorded messages—Republicans opted to give their speeches live in North Carolina.
People like Tim Scott, Donald Trump Jr., and Kimberly Guilfoyle (and many others) gave rousing speeches that celebrated America, patriotism, and the accomplishments of Donald Trump.
Events with Trump’s name on them always draw a big crowd. Remember, his live rallies were the stuff of legend.
Even his Tulsa rally from this Summer brought over 16 million viewers across all platforms.
It should come as no surprise that many Americans would be eager to tune in to watch the first night of the RNC.
Trump added spice to the day’s events by giving a surprise speech at the beginning of the day—generating even more excitement.
If we are speaking honestly, does anyone really believe that Joe Biden or Kamala Harris could muster up even a fraction of that kind of enthusiasm?
