If you listen to the mainstream media, you might think Democrats wiped the floor for Republicans this election. Not even close.
The left-leaning media is working overtime to cover up the great big red wave that hit America hard in 2020.
We know the major gains Republicans made in the House, winning seats as Democrats lost seats. Republicans hold strong in the Senate and will most likely keep their majority.
But beyond the federal government, Republicans made major gains at the state level. Before the election, they held majorities in 26 states—a slight margin.
Not anymore. From Fox News:
But that promised big blue wave of Democratic victories across the country turned instead into a red tidal wave from coast to coast…
The GOP gained a total of 192 House and 40 Senate seats. Republicans flipped control of three chambers.
As a result of these big and improbable wins, Republicans now have majority control in both House and Senate chambers in 31 of 50 states.
Republicans now control the legislatures of 31 of the 50 states. Fox News called this an “improbable” outcome. Really? After all we’ve seen from state Democrats?
This year, we’ve seen Democratic governors, mayors, and leaders go out of their way to limit our freedoms. They have shut down schools, churches, and just about every “non-essential” business. Millions were put out of work and many more had their lives upended.
Then, just as it looked like we could recover, liberals looked the other way as riots swept over many cities.
The hypocrisy from Democratic leaders over lockdown rules was staggering. They ordered Americans to stay at homes, possibly depriving them of their basic rights, all the while some of them ignored those rules themselves.
Many Democrats also promised to defund police departments and hamper our economy for years to come.
Should we be surprised that they suffered so many losses this election?
These Republican-controlled state governments will have tremendous power in how congressional districts will be redrawn. They will have a hand in helping more conservative win seats in the House.
That spells big trouble for Democrats in the federal government. And remember, plenty of liberal senators face re-election in just a few years (who didn’t this year).
I wonder what’s going to happen to them?
- A red wave swept through state governments this election.
- Republicans now control 31 out of 50 state legislatures.
- Democrats suffered major losses up and down the ballot.
