It’s pretty common for a president to set up a Presidential Library, after they leave office. The library serves as a place to document the history and impact the leader had on the country.
(We all know about Obama’s expensive, still unfinished library in Chicago that even the city tried to stop at one point.)
But unlike past men, Donald Trump is no ordinary president.
For most, being president is the highest point in a person’s legacy and career. But Donald isn’t ready to start his library yet.
Because he’s convinced he’s not done yet.
From the Daily Mail:
Former President Donald Trump is putting his presidential library on pause because he doesn’t want to signal his political career is over before a potential 2024 White House run…
‘Once he says, “I am going to be raising money for my library,” he’s given up even the pretense of trying to run again,’ Anthony Clark, who has written about the politics surrounding presidential libraries, told Bloomberg.
It appears Donald Trump is not ready to begin plans for a presidential library. According to some reports, this is a sign that he’s not done pursuing a leadership role in America.
It’s mostly speculation at this point, but it makes sense, given what we’ve seen from the man. He has not yet announced a 2024 run, but he is getting more and more involved in politics since leaving office in January.
Trump has become more vocal, expressing his thoughts on the state of the country, the Republican Party, as well as offering endorsement for special elections.
Many believe he continues to operate his Office of the 45th President, as a way to continue to influence both the GOP and American politics.
That could be providing the groundwork for a future return to the White House.
If that was the case, it would be foolish to start a library now, since he’ll have four more years to add to his legacy and impact.
Some critics claim Trump might never build a library because they are “expensive to build and complicated to plan.”
Right, because Donald Trump knows nothing about building complicated projects…
And as for finances, if Trump wanted to build a library today, he’d probably have millions in donations by the end of the week.
But he’ll hold off for now—until perhaps 2028.
Do you think Trump should run for President in 2024?
- Reports indicate Trump is not planning his presidential library.
- This might suggest he isn’t done seeking a second term in office.
