Democrats claim that Trump wants to influence the election by blocking new funding for the post office.
The president has made it clear that he does not support universal mail-in voting, pointing to the high risk of ballots being lost or forged.
But that doesn’t mean he is against helping our postal service thrive.
In fact, he just rolled out a new slogan that is sure to enrage Democrats:
The U.S. Post Office (System) has been failing for many decades. We simply want to MAKE THE POST OFFICE GREAT AGAIN, while at the same time saving billions of dollars a year for American Taxpayers. Dems don’t have a clue! @USPostOffice911
President Trump is rejecting the left’s plan to bailout the USPS, which would cost the taxpayer billions a year.
President Trump has criticized the left’s plan to force mail-in voting nationwide. He has brought to light the danger that ballots can be forged, lost, or destroyed.
Recent elections have shown that mail-in ballots might not even be counted if they are post-marked too late or arrive after election day.
That often happens through no fault of the voter, but thanks to the slow operations of local USPS branches.
President Trump doesn’t want to entrust our democracy to a “failing” system that is widely known for losing packages and letters.
But he appears to want to improve the post office, while at the same time, saving Americans money.
That could be achieved through various money-saving reforms and improvements.
Democrats appear to be trying to save their mail-in ballot plan by throwing billions at the post office.
The USPS is one of the few government agencies that doesn’t receive direct funding from tax dollars.
Instead, they are supported when Americans purchase their products or services.
For years, Democrats have tried to turn the post office into yet another bloated government program that sucks taxpayers dry.
If they become another DMV, will packages ever arrive?
Trump appears to want to go in another direction, improving the service without punishing Americans.
