Days After Rioters Go After Portland Mayor – They Send Him Packing As He Moves Out Of Apartment

What’s Happening:

Mayor of Portland Ted Wheeler has consistently failed to curtail the 3 months of rioting in his city.

He denied the president’s help and even tried to win over the anarchist burning his city.

In thanks, they stormed his apartment, setting fires to the buildings around it.

Perhaps that was the wakeup call Wheeler needed to end Antifa’s siege of the city?

Not quite. Ted, instead, is fleeing:

The Democratic mayor of Portland, Ore., is moving from his $840,000 condo to avoid rioters who have repeatedly targeted the building, according to a report.

Ted Wheeler wrote to neighbors in his building to say it would be “best for me and for everyone else’s safety and peace” for him to move from the building that rioters tried to torch on his 58th birthday Monday, according to The Oregonian.

It appears Wheeler’s solution to the ongoing riots in Portland is for himself to move to a safer location.

Must be nice, eh Ted? What about the millions of residents who can’t afford to leave?

These rioters have roved through suburban neighborhoods, terrorizing law-abiding citizens.

The mayor has refused to end the chaos that has raged for nearly 100 days.

But when the danger came to his home, he is turning tail and running.

Hey Ted! Most of the people in Portland can’t run, like you. In fact, they don’t want to, because—this might be a shock to you—they love their city.

They hate seeing what you and rioters have done to it.

But this kind of thing is typical among liberal elitists. Right now, the rich Democrats that supported New York’s Bill de Blasio’s war on police are leaving the city.

They made New York a nightmare and are now moving to places like South Carolina, Virginia, and beyond (to do the same there).

Wheeler is following their cue to move to what will most likely be a gated community—or a home with a better security system.

Too bad the rest of the city doesn’t have that luxury.

Hey Ted! Maybe, just maybe, you should direct the police to arrest these rioters so that everyone is safe?

Or maybe ask the president to send in DHS or the National Guard to apprehend horrible criminals ruining your city?

I guess that’s crazy talk?

Key Takeaways:

  • Portland’s mayor is moving after being harassed by rioters.
  • Wheeler has defended rioters and rejected aid from the president.
  • Portland has suffered riots for over three months.
