To the shock of many, Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler has consistently sided with rioters—not the people of Portland.
He even rejected Trump’s offer of federal assistance, even as Portland suffers night after night.
Maybe he thought the anarchists who are burning the city would like him? Maybe support him?
Not even close. Guess what these radical leftists did for Ted on his birthday?
The crowd of about 200 were there to mockingly celebrate the mayor’s birthday before the demonstration quickly turned destructive and an “arson fire” was reported, police said…
Demonstrators shattered windows and broke into a dental office, taking items — including a chair — to add to the fire, the Oregonian reported. A bundle of newspapers was also set ablaze and thrown into a storefront, located on the ground floor of the residential building around 11 p.m. — leading police to declare the gathering a riot.
Rioters stormed the streets outside Ted Wheeler’s home to start commotion on the night of his birthday.
In fact, it appears they went there on purpose, to mockingly “celebrate” his big day.
They set fires in the street and smashed up local businesses and property. Some reports indicate they set off fireworks at the apartment complex.
This isn’t even the first time these left-wing rioters turned on Wheeler. Earlier in the Summer, he appeared at a demonstration to show them support.
In return, they mocked him, cursed him out, and demanded his resignation.
Some have speculated that these rioters were originally set loose by Democrat operatives to influence the election.
If that was the case, the Democrats miscalculated by a longshot. Public sentiment is decidedly against these riots and those in public office who call for the defunding of police.
Every Democrat that appears to openly support these “peaceful” protests quickly gets attacked by the very people they are backing.
Wheeler recently insulted the president with an open letter, accusing Trump of “politicizing” the situation.
All Trump has done is offer federal law enforcement to restore the peace to Portland. How is that a bad thing?
I’d say this “party” at Wheeler’s house would be enough to open his eyes. But that might be saying too much.
- Leftist rioters stormed Mayor Wheeler’s house, starting fires in the street.
- The mayor had previously supported the leftist rioters, attending one of the demonstrations.
- Wheeler recently rejected federal aid, as riots raged for three months.
