Several other recent surveys have also found Biden struggling among the black electorate, with support for the former president surging.

A new poll once again shows Biden’s support from black voters dwindling. In 2020, he had nearly all black voter support, at 92%. Today, that number has dropped significantly, to 63%. In the same poll, 17% of black voters said they would vote for Donald Trump.

This comes as many Americans blame Biden for various problems affecting the country. Rampant inflation has impacted the economy, along with crippling energy policies that have driven up the cost of energy.

On top of this, Biden’s handling of the Southern border has outraged many Americans. Studies suggest that illegal immigration disproportionately affects black workers, as migrants often take many jobs.

It is possible these and other factors are discouraging black voters from rallying behind Joe Biden. Another 20% of black voters stated they wouldn’t back either Trump or Biden, leaving a large gap the Democrat might not be able to overcome.
