Mike Pence was a respected and effective Vice President (unlike that one currently in D.C.).
Regardless of rumors about his relationship with Trump, everyone wishes him the best. Whether or not he’ll run for the top spot, it’s safe to same patriots want to see more of him in the future.
That is why his recent announcement regarding his health has everyone talking.
Former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence received a heart pacemaker device during routine surgery on Wednesday and is expected to fully recover, his spokesman said on Thursday.
Pence, 61, who previously disclosed an “asymptomatic” heart condition, underwent the procedure at the Inova Fairfax medical facility in Virginia after experiencing symptoms associated with a slow heart rate over the past two weeks, spokesman Devin O’Malley said in a statement.
This week, Mike Pence underwent surgery to receive a pacemaker.
There is no word about any emergency that triggered this surgery, such as a heart attack. But reports indicate he had a heart condition and was suffering from a slow heart rate.
It appears the surgery was successful and the 48th vice president will have a full recovery.
He already issued a state saying, “I am grateful for the swift professionalism and care of the outstanding doctors, nurses and staff at Inova Heart and Vascular Institute.”
His spokesman said he will return to “normal activity” in the coming days. Those who are looking forward to seeing Pence continue to be a public figure will not be disappointed.
Many have speculated Pence’s future in the GOP and government, since leaving D.C.
Pence has started his own conservative PAC and has become a member of the Heritage Foundation. Some believe he will be a top contender for the 2024 primaries, especially if Trump decides not to run.
Trump supporters have shown wavering support for Pence, ever since the events of January 6. Even Donald Trump expressed disappointment with Pence over his refusal to challenge the electoral results.
Regardless of that ongoing political drama, the word that Pence will make a full recovery is sure to encourage many Americans.
