Mike Pence was a faithful vice president and right-hand-man of Trump’s for four years.
Even as Democrats tried to get him to betray the president, he stood by his side until the end.
Many have wondered what Pence would do next. There was speculation that he’d form his own political group. Perhaps he’d run for office again.
Now, we know that he will be moving back to Indiana. And he will be joining a famous conservative organization.
Former Vice President Mike Pence is joining the Heritage Foundation, he and the conservative organization announced on Thursday…
“The Heritage Foundation is a flagship of the conservative movement and I am profoundly honored to join them as a distinguished visiting fellow to advance conservative policies that will benefit every American,” Pence said in a release.
It was announced this week that Mike Pence would be joining the Heritage Foundation as a visiting fellow.
The Heritage Foundation is a long-running group dedicated to protecting conservative values in the country.
And Pence’s relationship with the group isn’t new. He revealed the Heritage Foundation “helped shape his conservative philosophy” and played a role in his leadership as vice president.
Pence named among his goals with the group to promote a “strong national defense,” “free markets,” and the “traditional values” largely shared by conservative Americans.
This looks like a perfect fit for the former vice president. While other former heads of state started their own “charities” (like Clinton and Biden), Pence is throwing his weight behind a group that will defend conservatives values and freedoms.
This comes at a crucial time. The Biden administration and Democrats in D.C. continue to apparently persecute and “out” strong conservatives both in government and the military.
It seems like Biden wants a country shaped in his own image, which looks more and more radical with each passing day.
The Heritage Foundation, with support from someone like Pence, could play a strong role in promoting a conservative agenda, in the face of new opposition.
This also allows Pence to stay in the public eye, perhaps helping him stay nimble for a future political run.
