After Pelosi And Schumer Gridlock Relief Bill, President Trump Prepares To Bypass Them With Executive Order

What’s Happening:

Congress has been delaying an additional relief bill to combat the aftermath of the COVID lockdowns.

Democrats refuse to cooperate with Republicans, seemingly trying to push funding for unrelated causes.

Pelosi, in fact, is demanding a staggering $3.4 trillion.

Perhaps Democrats think Republicans will cave, out of fear that Americans will blame them?

But the president just took out his Trump card:

President Trump said Thursday he plans to sign sweeping executive orders “tomorrow afternoon” if Democrats won’t agree to a new coronavirus stimulus bill.

Trump says he’s ready to revive a moratorium on evictions and a federal supplement for unemployment insurance, both of which lapsed last month. He also floated a temporary payroll tax cut and action on student loans.

Why It’s Important:

With a new relief bill stuck in gridlock, Donald Trump is promising to use his executive authority to provide relief.

His order will be aimed at directly helping Americans who have suffered due to state-mandated lockdown orders. Many have been out of work since March, thanks to governors and mayors.

The White House has discussed an order that will continue a halt on evictions, provide a federal supplement for unemployment insurances, as well as a payroll tax cut and student loan help.

It appears Trump is focusing on helping regular Americans. While Democrats are pushing to provide aid to in-debt blue states and large companies. Not to mention their allies across the government.

White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows gave Congress a Friday deadline to come to an agreement. It doesn’t appear Democrats are willing to negotiate, a common refrain from them since Trump entered office.

But not only do Democrats not want to compromise for the good of Americans, they are even trying to stop Trump’s order through a lawsuit.

That appears to be a disastrous tactic: to waste time and money on a lawsuit as millions continue to suffer.

What will happen if Democrats sue to stop relief funds from reaching Americans? This party has already extended painful lockdowns, allowed riots, defunded police, and are trying to dissolve the NRA.

It appears there is nothing the left won’t do to outrage everyday Americans.

Key Takeaways:

  • President Trump plans to sign an executive order to extend relief measures to Americans.
  • This comes as Congress refuses to cooperate in order to sign a new relief package.
  • Democrats are already threatening to sue to stop Trump’s new order.
