It’s always fun watching Democrats turn on each other, isn’t it?
Now, I’m sure you remember House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY).
He was one of the leftist politicians who led the impeachment charge against President Donald Trump. The impeachment, of course, failed.
But Nadler is back in the news again — this time for wanting to flee Washington D.C.!
Yesterday, Nadler suggested that Democrats leave Washington and return to their home districts, where they’d be “safer” from the coronavirus.
However, this idea didn’t go over well.
Even House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, one of Nadler’s allies in the impeachment attempt, stood up against it!
From The Hill:
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) immediately quashed the idea, according to multiple sources in the room.
‘We are the captains of the ship. We are the last to leave, she told her caucus, borrowing a line uttered moments earlier by Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-N.J.), a Navy veteran.
Too bad, Jerry! No running for you and your buddies!
It does surprise me that I actually agree with Nancy Pelosi … I never thought that day would come.
However, this also proves that Democrats are NOT all on the same wavelength when it comes to the COVID virus.
This is another example of leftists turning on one another during critical events. The leaders just can’t seem to agree on anything.
And what’s with Nadler suggesting Democrats abandon Washington?
That seems awfully cowardly to me. You’re supposed to be leading the country through difficult times … you don’t run away and hide.
Besides, there’s no guarantee they’d be any “safer” in their home districts, anyway. The coronavirus is pretty widespread by now.
On top of which, many people believe the danger is greatly exaggerated, and not worth shutting everything down.
Either way, though, our leaders should stay put. It’s their JOB to remain vigilant and to unwavering.
Maybe Nadler didn’t get the memo on that. ‘rolling eyes’
