For most southern states, the Title 42 issue has taken center-stage in recent weeks. If the Biden administration lifts it, we could see unprecedented migrant surges.

Since then, a judge has temporarily stopped Biden from lifting Title 42, and some state leaders are taking strides to protect themselves.

For example, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is making a strong move.

There’s another new Biden policy that would give asylum seekers a chance to avoid deportation, if authorities decide those proceedings would be “impracticable.”

Of course, this sort of opens the door to even more illegal residents in our country, and AG Paxton wants to stop it before it happens.

The Biden policy isn’t on the books yet but apparently it’s coming, so Texas is seeking an injunction in court.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a preliminary injunction against a new Department of Homeland Security rule that would allow more asylum seekers to avoid being deported.

Paxton – and other Republican leaders – believe the Biden administration has a “secret goal” of sorts in regards to immigration.

In this way, the new asylum seeker rule and the lifting of Title 42 serves their agenda.

Said Paxton in a statement:

Federal law requires genuine asylum and parole claims to be carefully managed and scrutinized by an immigration judge, not a bureaucrat rubber-stamping patently false claims.

Not only that, but this entire Rule is just a way for this Administration to accomplish their real goal: a mass influx of illegal aliens into the United States. I’m asking the court to put a stop to the Rule before it goes into effect.

The press release from Paxton’s office added that the Biden admin’s rule “ignores common-sense solutions and effective border security policies.”

Republicans have accused Biden and his team of their “open-border policies” from the start of his term in the White House.

And with this new rule, AG Paxton claims “it will immediately make it much easier for illegal aliens to enter the U.S. and obtain asylum through false claims.”

Loopholes like false asylum are something else Republicans and Conservatives rail against, and something the Trump administration fought to minimize.

Many citizens will argue that the border crisis has been largely ignored by the current administration and dramatically downplayed in the media. At the same time, DHS reports look increasingly grim.

As the numbers of encounters and arrests rise and the border becomes even more unstable, expect this issue to be a huge topic during the midterm elections.
