Got him – Ryan couldn’t hide it from us!
You remember Paul Ryan, right? The man who promised to defeat Obamacare if the GOP won Congress?
Oh yeah, the man who constantly folded to Obama and Pelosi whenever he had the chance? And the man that refused to work with President Trump—when Republicans had the power to do a great deal of good?
Yeah, the man who quit the job when things got tough. That Paul Ryan.
For years, Ryan claimed his real home was in Wisconsin, where his supporters lived. But now after he left politics, he’s uprooting his family and making his home…
In the swamp.
The former speaker of the House and onetime GOP vice presidential nominee is leaving his longtime home of Janesville, Wis., and will rent a house in the Maryland suburbs of Washington…
In the late spring and early summer, he transferred more than $7 million from his political accounts to his nonprofit, the American Idea Foundation.
Former Speaker Ryan is leaving his home in Wisconsin to live permanently in the swamp he said he hated.
On top of that, he transferred $7 million from his political accounts to a non-profit.
What’s going on? Shouldn’t he just leave D.C. altogether?
Well, my friends, the swamp runs deep. Usually, after congressmen and women leave office, they mysteriously get comfy jobs as lobbyists.
They jump ship and work for the enemy. Or, they set up a “Foundation” in order to funnel millions into what is essentially their pockets.
Is that what Ryan is doing? We’re not sure. But it’s awfully suspicious that, when he needed votes from Wisconsin, he made a big deal about staying in the state.
Now that he no longer needs to care about Wisconsin residents, he’s moving to the city that must have really been his home all along.
That should raise more than a few eyebrows.
I’m sure Ryan will make a big deal about his “non-profit” the American Idea Foundation. But if he couldn’t do much good in office, why should we think he’s going to do any good now?
