Remember the secretary of state of Pennsylvania? You should. She was on national news for days, and she was accused of ignoring the state’s own election laws to allow late ballots.
You could say she was single-handedly responsible for “ensuring” Biden the state. She may have gotten lucky that the Supreme Court refused to hear the many cases brought to them.
Now, it seems like she is leaving office—resigning over a supposed error. But it’s not what you think. From Daily Caller:
Pennsylvania Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar will resign from her position Friday after the department failed to advertise a constitutional amendment.
The proposed amendment to the constitution would extend the time allowed for victims of abuse to file civil charges against their abusers, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf’s office said in a Monday press release. The Department of State was required to advertise the proposed amendment in two newspapers in every county. However, because the department failed to do so, the process to implement the amendment now has to start from the beginning.
Apparently, the secretary of state is leaving her post, because the office failed to advertise a proposed amendment.
Why would Boockvar leave a job over what appears to just be a clerical error? It set back the effort to amend the state’s constitution, but it hardly appears to be a major crisis.
Not like how she handled the results of a presidential election!
What’s telling is that Broockvar, in her announcement that she was quitting, quickly explains it has nothing to do with the election. She again claimed her office’s botching of the election was “fair and accurate.”
Really? Then why even bring it up now? She claims she’s quitting because of a screw up with some ads. The effort to amend the state’s constitution—which would help victims of abuse—was enough to make her resign.
That seems like an overreaction to a simple mistake, if you ask me. Perhaps this is just a cover for something else?
Perhaps there was ongoing pressure from state leaders to oust this woman, after her actions during the election? Maybe the governor wanted her gone—and this is just an excuse?
We can’t say for sure. But this is pretty convenient timing, considering everything else that happened.
Perhaps whoever replaces her will do a better job—with everything.

- She claims it has nothing to do with her role in the 2020 election debacle.
