President Trump Ruins Obama’s Speech – Right In The Middle Of It Donald Accuses Barry of Spying

As most people expected, former President Barack Obama gave a highly partisan speech at the Democratic National Convention this week.

He didn’t shy away from criticizing Trump, his successor.

Obama slammed Trump for showing “no interest in the work, no interest in finding common ground, and no interest in using the awesome power of his office to help anyone but himself and his friends.”

The former Commander-in-Chief also came down hard on Trump for his response to the coronavirus pandemic.

But Obama may not have realized that Trump was watching.

Because the current President immediately began tweeting in real-time — in fact, midway through Obama’s speech Trump unloaded an all-caps tweet:

HE SPIED ON MY CAMPAIGN, AND GOT CAUGHT!

The two men are often at odds and most view them on opposite ends of the political spectrum.

After all, Trump has spent much of his first tenure attempting to undo what Obama did. Rolling back Obama-era policies has been a primary focus for the Trump administration.

And POTUS has often claimed that Obama’s team spied on his 2016 campaign.

But Trump didn’t stop with that tweet; he launched another soon after:

WHY DID HE REFUSE TO ENDORSE SLOW JOE UNTIL IT WAS ALL OVER, AND EVEN THEN WAS VERY LATE? WHY DID HE TRY TO GET HIM NOT TO RUN?

Trump has never been afraid to speak his mind, and the all-caps tweets make it plain that he didn’t take kindly to Obama’s accusations.

Barack Obama wasn’t the only one to draw the ire of the President, though.

After Kamala Harris formally accepted Joe Biden’s offer of vice president, Trump directed an all-caps tweet at her as well:

BUT DIDN’T SHE CALL HIM A RACIST??? DIDN’T SHE SAY HE WAS INCOMPETENT???

Many critics of Harris have also pointed out her apparent flip-flop — she has often criticized Biden in the past, though she seems to be willing to work alongside him now.

It’ll be interesting to see if Trump continues to reply in real-time during the final night of the Convention.

Whether or not this will help his reelection bid remains to be seen, but we’ll likely hear a lot more during the Republican National Convention in a few weeks’ time.

Key Takeaways:

  • Former President Barack Obama slammed Trump during a DNC speech, criticizing his work ethic, pandemic response, and economic policies.
  • Trump fired back in real-time on Twitter. He accused Obama’s team of spying on the Trump campaign in 2016.
  • POTUS also targeted Kamala Harris after she accepted the Vice President nomination.
