It’s no secret that people from blue states are fleeing to greener pastures.
This has been going on for a long time. But the mass exodus only grew during the past year.
Americans, many of whom voted for Democrats, were suddenly shocked at how much they were paying in taxes.
Meanwhile, they couldn’t even go out and get a slice of pizza. If you can’t eat New York pizza, why are you in New York at all?
These folks, probably both conservative and liberal, are finding that life in Florida, Texas, and other states to be much better.
And now, officials are blasting the reason for such a dramatic change.
From Fox Business:
Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis argued on Monday that people are leaving states that are “financial train wrecks,” like New York and New Jersey, and moving to Florida to escape a “tax hell.”
“They’re going to bring their investments, their retirement, wealth, and they’re going to move to the state of Florida,” he continued, noting that they are going to move to a state with lower taxes, but because they are empty nesters, they won’t have children in the school system.
Florida’s Chief Financial Officer explained in detail why so many folks from Democrat-run hells like New York are fleeing to the Sunshine State.
The “tax hells” of New York, New Jersey, and other states are hammering hard-working Americans. Especially during the pandemic, Americans just need a break.
Biden hasn’t been giving it to them. And Democratic governors are eager to shake down every last penny from residents.
If you have the ability to, why wouldn’t you move to a state with low taxes, better quality of life, cheaper prices (for food, gas, property, etc.), and so on?
This trend might only continue, unless there are major changes in blue states. Governors have to slash taxes and encourage people to come back. Or residents just need to vote out their current leaders.
Once upon a time, people were forced to move to big cities in NY or CA, because that’s where all the jobs were.
But in an age where everyone is forced to work remotely, you can kiss those “tax hells” goodbye.
New York might not be able to fix this problem unless they’re hit with a red wave.
- Many Americans are fleeing New York and other blue states to Florida and elsewhere.
- Florida’s Chief Financial Officer said they are fleeing Democrats’ “tax hell.”
- The pandemic only encouraged more residents to leave big, high-tax, regions.
