In recent history, whistleblowers within the federal government have turned to House Republicans. These federal employees have divulged information against, in some cases, top federal officials–at great risk to themselves. Using these testimonies, Congress has been able to probe alleged crimes reaching the highest levels of government.
And there seems to be no sign these leaks are stopping. Another whistleblower has approached ranking House committee members. This person is blowing the whistle on one of the most powerful agencies in America. They are accusing the CIA of bribing its own officials. Why? So, they would not out a foreign nation.

A new letter penned by Reps. Mike Turner (R-OH) and Brad Wenstrup (R-OH), who chair the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, respectively, revealed that a CIA whistleblower has said to Congress that the government agency handed bribes to its own agents so they would claim that Covid did not originate from a laboratory in Wuhan, China.
This is bombshell news, if proven true. According to Republican Reps. Mike Turner and Brad Wenstrup, a “multi-decade, senior-level, current Agency officer” within the CIA is blowing the whistle on an alleged scheme.
This person is revealing that the agency put together a 7-person team to investigate the origins of COVID-19. This “COVID Discovery Team” consisted of experts with “significant scientific expertise.” According to the whistleblower, six of the members stated that intelligence and science were enough for them to make a “low confidence” claim that COVID came from the Wuhan lab.
But when the reports were released from our intelligence agencies, the government maintained that the virus came from animals sold in the wet market. Any suggestion that it came from a manmade source was strongly discouraged by federal agencies. The mainstream media would also heavily discredit any suspicion or claims that the virus came from the lab.
The whistleblower claims that the six members of this team were given a “significant monetary incentive” to change their position. In other words, the CIA bribed these experts so they would not accuse the Wuhan lab of creating COVID-19.
Republican lawmakers are now demanding the CIA to hand over all records related to this team. They also want any and all communications with the FBI, State Department, HHS, and DOE. If the CIA does not comply, Congress will issue a subpoena.
It is unclear why the CIA would have an interest in protecting the Wuhan lab, to the point it would cover up evidence that it was responsible for COVID. But Americans will remember how fervently the media and Washington establishment discouraged even discussing whether or not the virus came from the lab.
